We offer Chinese language classes for all levels, plus electives and a WASC-accredited credit track for high-school students.
Chinese Language
Pre-K – 3rd grade: 11:10 am – 1:00 pm · 4th – 8th grade: 9:00 am – 10:50 am
Weekend classes run from Pre-K through 8th grade, all taught in Traditional Chinese. Choose the full-Chinese track for students from Mandarin-speaking families where the child and household speak Mandarin, or the bilingual track (C1–C8) designed for beginners and heritage learners easing into the language. Students build reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills following established Mandarin curricula.
Accredited Curriculum (AC / 學分班)
8:50 am – 12:50 pm
Our WASC-accredited high-school Chinese course lets eligible students earn high-school credit toward UC/CSU and area high-school requirements. Uses Integrated Chinese (Levels 1–4) and AP Chinese materials. A placement test determines the appropriate level for new students.

Electives
Choose from a wide range of enrichment classes: Chinese painting, Chinese calligraphy, abacus (珠心算), Chinese yo-yo, sewing, crafts, basketball, Basic Python coding, Intermediate Python coding, adult yoga, adult fitness, and online Chinese typing/writing. New electives are added each year.

Free — enrolled students onlyEnrolled FCS students have access to free one-on-one online tutoring provided by our volunteer tutors. Sessions are coordinated via email during the school year. Once enrolled, watch for an email with sign-up details — you'll need your FCS registration ID to reserve a spot.
