Just a quick note to remind everyone that there is no school this Saturday, September 5th, for the Labor Day long weekend. Wishing you all a restful and enjoyable weekend with family! We'll see everyone back at school on Saturday, September 12th.

Last week, Fremont Chinese School was honored to welcome a special group of visitors! Professor Cheng Zi-yu from National Taiwan Sport University — a skilled diabolo performer in her own right — visited our Yo-Yo (Diabolo) class, delighting both teachers and students. She was joined by 15 teacher-trainees from universities across Taiwan, who sat in on our bilingual and credit classes to observe and exchange ideas. See more photos here.

Fremont Chinese School rents classroom space from Irvington High School, and maintaining a good relationship with them depends on leaving each room exactly as we found it.
We've set up a shared photo album for every classroom to help document room conditions before and after each class. If you're the room parent responsible for photos and haven't received your classroom's album link yet, please check with your child's teacher. Thank you for your help!
🔥 The Association of Northern California Chinese Schools (ANCCS) Student Volunteer Service Award is now open for applications! This award recognizes Chinese school students for their community service hours, with Bronze, Silver, and Gold tiers for both Teens and Young Adults.
Application deadline: October 1, 2026. Details at www.anccs.org.

We're excited that many new parents have already joined our volunteer team this year — thank you! We can always use more help. From event planning to photography, translation to administration, there's a role to fit your skills and schedule. Parents matched to a good-fit role are also exempt from traffic and crossing duty. FCS is a non-profit 501(c) organization. Donations are tax-deductible (IRS tax ID: 94-2978949) and help Fremont Chinese School continue to operate, teach Chinese courses, and pass on Chinese culture.
